Felted critter

This little critter goes with another creature (I'll post a pic of both in a minute). The whole shape is carved from foam and the outside is felted like the octupus. When I did the foam part I didn't know i was going to felt it. originally I covered it in layers of tinted latex, but it didn't turn out how I wanted so I peeled it off. I just happed to have it with be when Laila (my lecturer who teaches me all this interesting stuff) was showing me how to needle felt, and I thought I'd like to try feltng it. The eyes are teddybear eyes - they're just poked in at the moment but when I go back to tafe I'm going to glue them in, then give it some eyelids.
