5th baby
In set and props class this year we are going to transform the set workshop to do with natural and mechanical and windows/doors. My idea for part of it is to have a cylinder around one of the columns which is a machine that is growing babies. But in the far future when this machine is old and rusted. some parts are broken or leaking and don't work.

I made a model. well i didn't get as far as a model of the tube but we didn't have a meeting about it like i though we would so it didn't really matter. was a good excuse to make another clay baby anyway. That's why she has a big hole for a belly button because i was going to attach an umbilical cord.

I could get a lot better detail with this because i mixed up my own colour with fimo and sculpey. I did make it translucent but i don't know if it was worth it because i got those half moon shapes. So i could blend it a lot better than the ozzle.

Mixing clay colour = 30 min
Sculpting baby = 4 1/2 hours
blushing colour = 20 min

Oh, I forgot to mention the other babies. One is a tiny embryo, and the other baby I made in 15 min from the left over clay from making the chowchow.

Interesting! Are you making many more of these babies for this project?

~>'-'< If you get a chance, please stop by my gallery and look at a piece or two. It would be greatly appreciated! >'-'<~
I don't need to make more small ones like this for the project but last week I made an oversize embryo and a probably real size baby that would not be full term. These were from ceramic clay. I am going to make a plaster mould of it next week and then cast latex into it.
I will make more small babies in the future though.

Wow, sounds extremely time consuming! Be sure to take some pics of the finished product for us as well. :)
