From time to time I get asked if I do commissions so I'm trying to make a basic price guide, which is hard without first knowing what someone wants as the amount of time taken varies greatly. So I'll put estimates of starting prices for different types of work. Only animals for now, not people, unless they are babies. I feel a lot more confident with animals like dogs or big cats than I do with birds or monkeys. So really the price would be affected by what kind of animal, detail of sculpting, detail of texture eg fur, size, and difficulty of painting eg patterning.
So if anyone is interested, use this guide to decide what you are interested in, then note me about what you are interested in and I can give you a price for a custom piece.
Charm/ornament

starting around $15. Using the ones in the photo as examples. The thylacine would be $15. The dogs would be $20 each. The extinct mammal would be $25.
Babies
[link]
with babies I cant do them to match photos as far as facial features to look like a particular baby, but I can use photos for poses.
Using that picture as an example. Simpler small ones at the top of the page would be $15. Detailed 1:12 scale babies would be $20. Larger sized babies (second row from bottom) would be $40.
Chrome sculptures like this
[link] would be cheaper than another coloured sculpture (for large sculptures) because I have a large can of this paint at the moment and although it is very messy to work with, it takes less time than painting by hand.
Felted animals
[link]
these are done over sculpted foam so it depends largely on if I can get to somewhere that sells the foam at the time. I only have a few colours of wool as well so It would depend on what colours the creature needed. If you are really interested I have a booklet that has the colours that the wool comes in that I could scan to give colour indications.
Using the picture as an example, these would probably be about $40 - $60 each as they take a very long time
Large Highly Detailed sculptures
[link]
about $200
Large Detailed Sculptures
[link]
about $60 upwards
Large Sculpture
[link]
$40 and up
Small sculptures
[link]
One like this one would be $25 -$30
Its hard to figure out without knowing specifics eg animal type, size, pose, level of detail, and painting needed. If you are interested, even in anything that doesnt fit into any of these categories like miniature food
